Prof. Dr. Veli Gökhan Cin was born in Ankara in 1967. After graduating from Ankara Science High School, he graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine and completed his cardiology specialization training at Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Dr. Cin, who enhanced his professional knowledge with international experience gained at Frankfurt, Stanford University, and Houston Methodist Hospital, served as a faculty member in the Department of Cardiology at Mersin University Faculty of Medicine between 2000 and 2025. Specializing in invasive cardiology, coronary interventions, advanced echocardiography, and coronary intensive care, Prof. Dr. Cin continues his work in Mersin with an approach centered on patient safety and high-quality healthcare. He currently works at the Özel Mersin Ortadoğu Hospital.
